SPECIMEN REQUIREMENTS
Sample Type: Plasma
Preferred Container: Lithium Heparin (Green Top) Tube or Sodium Heparin (Green Top) Tube
Alternate Container: EDTA (Lavender Top) Tube
Sample Volume: 2.0 mL
Minimal Sample Volume: 1.5 mL
Handling Instructions: CRITICAL FROZEN.
Separate specimens must be submitted when multiple tests are ordered. Place tube on wet ice immediately after collection. Separate plasma from cells ASAP or within 1 hour of collection. Transfer 2 mL plasma to a Standard Transport Tube, label tube with type of plasma submitted and freeze immediately. (Min: 1.5 mL)
